Annie Besant

Annie Besant (1^er octobre 1847 - 20 septembre 1933) était une théosophe, féministe et auteur.

Elle écrivait avec Charles Bradlaugh des livres sur l'orthogénie (The Law of Population) et l'athéisme. En 1889, après avoir lu La Doctrine Secrète de Helena Blavatsky elle devient une membre de la Société Théosophique. En 1907 elle devient la présidente de la Société Théosophique.
