Australopithecus bahrelghazali est le nom d'un hominidé bipède. Le premier specimen, nommé Abel, fut découvert en 1995 à Koro Toro (Tchad) par Michel Brunet et son équipe. Il serait contemporain de l'Australopithecus afarensis, et serait âgé de 3 à 3,5 millions d'années.
